The builder acquired an array of exotic materials to include antique wood floors salvaged from the Buffalo Cotton Mill in Union, South Carolina which has its own conversation piece embedded in one of the planks (are you curious what that might be?). A mahogany mantel on the living room fireplace, believed to be over 500 years old and discovered under the muck of a rain forest in Indonesia, also accents this casual yet elegant home.
